Forerunner Hebrews 6:20 (KJV) Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
This meaningful name used of Christ it implies that He went in advance of His own to prepare a place for His people, so that when He returns for them they can be with Him according to His wish. This term is most fitting of Christ who goes before His people to prepare a way for them, to open up the gates of heaven by His atoning blood and priestly intercession.
Jesus, thank you for being that Forerunner who goes before us to prepare a way for us. For without you, I will not have a permanent dwelling place in heaven. A place, whereby I can experience complete peace and joy, and where there will be no sickness and suffering.

The Names of God - Faithful Witness
Faithful Witness Revelation 1:5a And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
A faithful witness is one who provides evidence or proof from having known or actually seen something. In the Greek, the word witness is “martyr” – one that gives testimony to the truth at the expense of life. Such are evident in the life and ministry of our Lord.
Jesus, you are the only One who has seen and known God, and with such a qualification you must be listened to as you speaks about the Father. Like you, I want to be a true witness speaking of the things which I have seen and heard. May I never fail to boldly declare by word and deed, the truth received from you.

Everlasting Father
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Christ was certainly, The Father of His Country, for while on earth He declared that He came from heaven where He had been through the eternal past. For Him, whose Fatherland was the universe, and whose age is eternity, the glory is that He is the Christ of all ages. The mystery our finite minds cannot understand is that although the Everlasting Father, He became a child.
God, your word here tells me that Jesus is the Everlasting Father. To my human mind, it is hard for me to understand this. But since you say it is, I accept it because you are a God of truth. All earthly fathers will leave the world after reaching their allocated span, but you, the Everlasting Father will never die. For you live forever to bless your people with fatherly love and provision.

Desire of All Nations
Haggai 2:7 (KJV) And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
The word desire can be given as “hope,” Jeremiah describes Jehovah as “The Hope of Israel” (14:8; 17:13). Christ is not only the Desire or Hope of all nations, He is the Hope of His redeemed Church. Paul describes the Rapture of the Church at Christ’s return as “the Blessed Hope” (Titus 2:13).
Jesus, though nations do not presently desire you, yet you are the only One who can satisfy the yearning desires within the heart of man. There will come a time when you will shake all nations and then you alone will usher in world peace. For without you, there will be no peace in this world.

Romans 11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
Deliverer proclaims Jesus Christ to be One who rescues us from sin and destruction and preserves from such. It also reminds us of the threefold deliverance secured for is – past, present, and future (2 Corinthians 1:10).
Lord Jesus, I thank you that you are my Deliverer. You have delivered me from the guilt of my sin that separated me from God. You have delivered me also from the power and dominion of sin. In you there is no condemnation, therefore I can always come boldly to your throne of grace with my requests and needs.

Such a counselor is Jesus Christ, who has a guiding mind to think for all, a guiding heart to feel for all, a guiding hand to act for all. His counsel is unchallengeable. As a member of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), Christ who is omniscient (all-knowing) is able to give counsel to His people concerning God’s mind and will.
Lord Jesus, what a comfort to know that you are an all-knowing Counselor. With such assurance, I know I can come to you with my problems with confidence that you will guide me with your counsel. Teach me to lean not on my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge you so that you will give me success.

Matthew 22:42 “What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” “The son of David," they replied.
The word Christ means “Anointed.” This was Jesus official designation and occurs in the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) about 57 times, and is usually used with the phrase “The Christ.” Like the priests, kings, and prophets in the Old Testament were anointed to their respective offices and were thus considered as God’s anointed ones, we can readily understand why Christ was The Anointed One. Having been consecrated by His Baptism and the descent of the Holy Spirit as our Prophet, Priest, and King.
Lord, I am so blessed to have you as my Anointed Prophet, Priest, and King. From this anointing, I can have your teaching, share of your sacrifice and intercession, and enjoy your gifts and riches. Praise be to your Holy Name.

The Names of God - Chief Corner Stone
Chief Corner Stone 1 Peter 2:6 (KJV) Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
In any building, the corner stone is of fundamental importance. It is called corner because it forms part of a corner or angle in a wall, and is usually laid at the formal installation ceremony of erection of a building. No building is considered complete until it has received this headstone. It is under the figure of a building that the foundation of the Church is described. The foundation of the Church Christ is building has been laid strong and deep, in the eternal counsels of God. Christ, then, as “the Chief Corner Stone” is what the Church needs, and what her every member needs.
Jesus, you are the chosen and precious cornerstone and whoever trusts in you will never be put to shame. For in you the foundation of the Church is sure and secure and no forces on earth can destroy it. What a glorious foundation you have laid for your people. Without you, the Chief Corner Stone, the Church will not be complete.

The Name of God - Bright Morning Star
Bright Morning Star Revelation 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
Here, Christ presents Himself as “the bright Star of the morning.” It was by the leading of a star that God manifested His Son to the Gentiles (Matthew 2:9-10). As the Morning Star,Christ is the pledge of the coming day, both for His own (the Jews) and for the ungodly (the Gentiles), who love darkness because of their evil deeds. As the Light of the World, the Son of God is coming to banish its darkness.
Thank you, Father for sending to us your Bright Morning Star, Jesus. Just when the world is in darkness of sins you give us light through your Son, Jesus Christ in your own perfect timing. What a blessing it is that light came into the world in the person of Jesus who is the Bright and Morning Star. It is through Him that there is hope for everyone to be free from the bondage of darkness.

Bridegroom Isaiah 62:5 As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.
The use of this title by God symbolized the relationship between God and His people and also between Christ and His Church. As the Bridegroom Christ presents Himself to His own. Precious to Him, His Church which He bought her with His own blood, is His Bride.
Jesus, you are the Bridegroom and the Church is your Bride. In your sight, she is always precious to you. Thank you for your promises to treasure her, protect her, and delight in her. Keep your Church pure from sins and that she will remain faithful to your love so that she will not broke your heart.

Bread of Life John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
Ordinary bread is a substance that has been formed by life. Life is in the seed we get from the harvest. Life is in the wheat by which human beings may be fed and sustained. Life can only be sustained by that which has been produced by life. If this is true of our physical life, it is likewise true of our spiritual life which can only be derived from One who has such life in perfection. Christ has “life in himself” and possesses the ability to impart this life to others.
Yes, Lord Jesus, you and you alone are able to satisfy the longing of human hearts because you are the Bread of Life. It was by your death for sinners that you became the Bread of Life to sinners. As the living Bread, you are the living God and those partake such Bread will live forever.

Jeremiah 33:15 In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; he will do what is just and right in the land.
This prophetic title of Christ speaks of the Messiah who came of “the seed of David according to the flesh” (Romans 1:3), and who will be revealed in His earthly glory as King of kings, and Lord of lords. Jeremiah describes Him as the Branch of Righteous, therefore qualified to execute judgment and righteousness in the earth when He sets up His rule.
Jesus, I acknowledge that you come in the flesh and that you are 100% man and 100% God. As the Branch of David, you came to die for man’s sin but 3 days later you resurrected. You are a God that is alive. I know you will return as a Judge and not as a Savior to judge the world, therefore I want to share your love to my unsaved friends so that they too can be with you in heaven forever.

Acts 3:15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
That Christ is the Author or Prince of Life (KJV) signifies that “the life He had was not from another; the Prince of Author of Life must be He who has life from Himself.” The particular word used here means one who takes a lead in, or provides the first occasion of, anything.
Lord, you are the Originator of Life – physical, spiritual, and eternal. You alone have the power to give and take away life. Therefore, I fear not those who can destroy the body but not the soul. Teach me to walk in the fear of you and not to take my salvation for granted.

Revelation 3:14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation."
This expression of approval is only used here as a personal name as records by John. The word "verily" is another translation of the Greek word for amen. The Hebrew form is "truly." As an affirmative response, it implies the soul's approval to the truth of what is uttered. When uttered by God, amen meant, "it is and shall be so," and when used by men, implied, "So let it be." When used as a title of Christ, it is because He is "faithful and true," and the One through whom the purposes of God are established (2 Corinthians 1:20). For in Him the promises and truth of God are both secured.
Lord Jesus, You are "The True Amen," for in you we have the guarantee that every promise and every truth will be amened - "It is and shall be so." By your words and deeds, you have revealed to us as the Source of all certainty and truth. For you ever spoke of what you knew and testified to what Yoyu had seen, and thus was "The faithful and true witness" of our God the Father.

Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, just as A and Z are the first and last in the English one. As Alpha, our Lord is the Source, the Beginning of all revealed truth, of all promise given, and of all testimony committed to men. This title speaks of the intimate relationship God has to Creation. As Omega, He is also our End, with His glory as our goal. " Man's chief end is to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever". Everything in life finds its answer in Him who is "the first and the last."
Lord Jesus, thank you that you are everything from A to Z in my life. In you I shall have no lacks. When it comes to my desires, plans, and ambitions help me to remember to commit them to you. Because you are the First and the Last, all things are under your control. When I do that I know I will have favors from you and peace in my heart.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. The term Almighty is used in the Bible 57 times and applied to God only often in comparison to the inability of the heathen gods. It tells of His all-sustaining power and grace for His people. It speaks of God's power to fulfill every promise He had made to His children and His faithfulness in performing every word He has spoken.
God, the self-disclosure of you as Almighty God has assured me of a sure and all-sufficient resource in every time of my need. What a comfort it is to know I serve a God who is all-powerful and is able to help me to overcome all obstacles in every given situations. God, nothing is too hard for you.

Abba, a term of simple affection is an Aramaic word for Father, found also in Mark 14:36 and Galatians 4:6. Close to a personal name, in comparison to Father, with which it is always joined in the New Testament. Father expresses an intelligent understanding of the relationship. The two together express the love and intelligence and confidence of the child. Slaves were not permitted to use this term in addressing the head of the family.
Abba, Father in heaven, with a grateful heart, I want to thank you that I am a child of the Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth. I am no longer a slave to Satan anymore.
